Step 1: Asset Mapping
We start by looking at everything that the neighborhood has to offer. Within an area, there are many aspects that need to be identified and described before we can fully understand what can be utilized to create a solution.
Step 2: Challenges and Opportunities
Once the asset mapping is complete, we synthesize what issues are most pressing to the community. Every community has its strengths and weaknesses, and we take a whole-community approach in order to utilize the strengths to solve the challenges and create opportunities.
Step 3: Community Engagement
This step is the core of ReGen itself. At ReGen, we are all about community. We use this step to refine research and engage neighborhoods and sub-communities within a broder community context, capture the resident voice, and identify what strategies, programs and projects are necessary to create real impact.
Step 4: The Data
Lastly, we collect, analyze, and synthesize data to decide how to execute these community-centered initiatives. The concrete information allows us to create measurable impacts that fit within the scope and needs of each community.
